They have been shaping up the future of hundreds of students every year, for the last two decades. The institute conducts an entrance test known as RISE or Rao Intelligence Search Examination.

Courses offered by Rao IIT Academy:

The Rao IIT Academy, Mumbai majorly offers three courses. They are:

  1. FYJC for the students of class 11th :

It is a 2-year long course that will help the students to build a strong foundation from the beginning. It prepares them for competitive exams like JEE, BITSAT, SAT, and VITEEE among others.

A student who has either cleared or appeared for class 10th is eligible for this course. However, the student must score above 70% in Mathematics and Science in the board exams, to become eligible for the entrance test. Admission is given on the basis of an entrance test, which can be online or offline as well.

SYJC for the students of class 12th:

It is a one year course for the students of 12th. It will cover the basics of physics, chemistry, and mathematics of both class 11th and 12th. They also cover the JEE syllabus in class. It ideally prepares the students to ace JEE by the end of the year.

The students seeking admission must have appeared for class 11th. To become eligible for the entrance exam, the candidate must have scored 70% in class 10th. If a student has secured 90% or above in class 10th, class 11th or the aptitude tests, they can get direct admission in this course.

SYJC for the droppers:

This course is specifically designed for those students who wish to drop a year and give the entrance exam again. It can be due to the wrong choice of the institute, or low scores in the exam. Whatever may be the case, this one year course can help you achieve your target.

The students who have appeared for class 12th board examinations are eligible for this course. To appear in the entrance exam, the candidate must have scored a minimum 70% marks in 12th board exams. However, students can get direct admission if they score 90% in class 10th or 12th board exams, or entrance test.

Admission procedure:

The Rao IIT institute has a simplistic and easy admission procedure. There are three modes of admission offered by the institute. They are:

  1. The candidate can send in the application for admission to the Corporate Office in Mumbai. It must be enclosed with all the requisites.
  2. The students can also visit the official website of the institute. They can fill the online form 
  3. A candidate can also submit the form physically at the Classroom Centre Office.

The candidate must fill the application form three days prior to the day of the entrance exam. The next step will be to generate and printing of the Admit Card. A recent and colors passport sized photograph must be affixed on the admit card. It is mandatory to bring the admit card along with to the Test Centre on the exam day.

Important tips:

  • Only one RISE test can be applied with an application form.
  • A candidate will not be permitted to sit in the RISE test without admit card.
  • If a student is seeking admission for one phase, he/she must give one of the tests conducted before the course begins.
  • The admission form must be filled in by the student. It should be complete and also signed by the candidate. It must be attached with two passport size photographs as well.
  • If the student is under the age of 18, the form requires the signature of parents or guardians as well. If the student submits the form sign, the institution believes that the student has sought verbal permission from the parents.
