Process of Admission

If you wish to study in a college affiliated under the Kathmandu University, then you would need to give an entrance exam held by it. Whether an Indian student or a student from abroad, they would need to qualify in the exams in order to get admitted to any Nepalese college. The passing marks varies from college to college and the students are able to secure a seat depending on the rank that they have secured during the entrance exam. There is no separate quota present in the colleges. The entrance exams are held in the months of August /  September. English is primarily the means of communication in universities in Nepal.

NEET 2019

  • The lower and upper age limit for sitting in this examination is 17 years and 25 years respectively.  However, there is an upper age limit relaxation of 5 years for the reserved category.
  • The students should have cleared their +2 exams with at least 50% marks and the subject combination should be physics, chemistry, and biology. However, the minimum marks for the reserved categories is 40%.
  • The students should also have studied English in their curriculum
