Hey! I am currently in the first year, so my opinion of “life at NLSIU” may change over the years, but here’s how it is now:
Classes are from 8:50 to 1:30. Most of my classmates are nocturnal and thus tend to wake up just minutes before the beginning of the first period. So, don’t be surprised if you see your classmate brushing his teeth after the first period!
4 classes interspersed with 10-minute or 20-minute breaks, get over at a decent pace. The bell ringing at 1:30 pm would mean a long sojourn from the acad [as we call our academic block] to the mess [or if the menu on that day is not appealing, the bistro/chetta within the campus, or restaurants outside the campus.]
