Sharif University of Technology (SUT) is one of Iran's leading technological and engineering universities. It was established in 1966 and is located in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. The university was originally founded as the Aryamehr University of Technology, named after the then Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. After the Iranian Revolution in 1979, the university was renamed to its current name, Sharif University of Technology.
