1969: The origins of the university can be traced back to the establishment of teacher training and technical education colleges in Mazandaran province, initiated to meet the local educational needs.
1979: Officially became the University of Mazandaran after the integration of various colleges in the region during the post-revolution restructuring of Iranian higher education.
Expansion: Over the years, the university expanded significantly, adding numerous faculties, research centers, and degree programs, becoming one of the leading educational institutions in Iran's northern provinces.
Present: Today, the University of Mazandaran offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines, including humanities, engineering, sciences, arts, and social sciences, with a focus on research and development in the region.
