Subjects offered in the MBBS program in Europe

Eligibility Criteria For Admission In MBBS In Europe

If you are seeking admission to European Medical University, then you have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

  • The aspirant should have completed 10+2 years of school with science faculty (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects)

  • The minimum age of the applicant should be 17 years on or before the admission process.

  • Candidate must not be above 25 years of age.

  • There is no requirement of IELTS or English Test for admission in a medical college in Europe.

  • The minimum requirement of marks in physics, chemistry, and Biology is 60%.

  • If the candidate belongs to any reserved category such as Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Category (SC), or Other backward Cast (OBC), then the minimum qualifying percentage is 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • The candidate must have passed the NEET exam with the required percentile.

Standard Admission Process for MBBS in Europe

It is quite easy to get admission in Europe for medical studies if you fulfill all the criteria. The candidate has to go through the following stages to get admission in college:

  • Get the admission form and fill it with accurate and correct details like name, qualifying percentage, etc. The applicant can fill the form in June and July.

  • Next, collect all the necessary documents and get them scanned. Submit the scanned copies of educational certificates and passport details to the university in which the candidate wants admission.

  • Now the university is going to review the application form and check the details. If everything is found correct, they will generate an admission letter. It usually takes 10-15 working days.

  • Once the candidate receives the admission letter (usually in July or August), they have to submit the tuition fees.

  • When the admission of the candidate is confirmed in the chosen university, they can start the immigration process.

  • The candidate has to apply for a student VISA. In 45 to 60 days, the Ministry will sanction the VISA of the candidate. Around August and September, the candidate gets a VISA.

  • Now the aspirant can book a flight and join the course. Generally, the whole process completes till September, and the candidate joins a college in September or October.

The candidate is required to submit the following documents for admission in European MBBS:

  • Scanned copy of mark sheets of 10th and 12th class.

  • Birth certificate or age proof translated into English.

It takes a minimum of 60 days for the VISA process from the date of the VISA application.

For study for a month or a single semester as part of an exchange program, you require a Schengen VISA. It gives temporary visiting access to all EU members and associated nations for about 90 days. This VISA has to be displayed along with the passport.

A long stay VISA has the same provisions as a Schengen VISA. But it allows you to remain legally in the Schengen area for a period of 90 days to a year. It is appropriate for students who want to study for 9 to 12 months.

The residence permit is for those international students who need to stay longer. They can be applied through embassies and third-parties. The process varies from individual EU countries.
