The Asian Institute of Medicine, Science, and Technology or AIMST University is a not-for-profit private higher education and research institution in Malaysia. It was established in 2001 in Beding, Malaysia. The institute was incepted under the Private Higher Educational Institutions Act, 1996 to expand tertiary education, particularly to Indo-Malaysian students. In 2007, the Ministry of Higher Education awarded AIMST with the official status of a university. AIMST University has an affiliation with the Asia-Pacific University-Community Engagement Network (APUCEN). Also, the University is associated with other universities in various countries like the UK, India, & Japan. The University aspires to produce graduates with the capability of handling their work-life effectively, in all aspects, including work knowledge, communication skills, and technology proficiency.
The University is dedicated to raising health care education for the people of the country. AIMST is homes around 30 organizations and clubs that focus on various academic, social, and personal interests. To encourage cultural unity and leadership qualities in students, these organizations and clubs coordinate and host different events, competitions, and activities for them. The framework of the degree programs is thoughtfully curated to provide an all-inclusive learning experience for the students. Sufficient non-technical staff is there at the University to provide a self-learning atmosphere to the students. With the services and facilities provided, the University wants to create a warm environment for all the students far from home and to offer the appropriate surrounding so that they can experience dynamic and productive university life.

The AIMST University has its academic structure organized in seven faculties, one school, and one learning center. The University enjoys elite infrastructure and ultra-modern facilities for teaching and research. There is a library, constructed in a unique circular design, surrounded by academic buildings. It holds a collection of rare and special books, journals, photographs, and government documents. The digital resources of learning at the library involve e-books, e-journals, and databases. The AIMST University Malaysia has 5 hostels – Resident Blocks on campus for the accommodation of the enrolled students in campus residential areas. The faculty and student apartments are within walking distance from the library, student center, and academic buildings. The Student Centre has a post office, book store, computer labs, minimarket, healthcare center, and bank ATMs. Other facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, gymnasium, cafeteria, and specifically designated prayer halls for Muslim students and faculty.
The University offers a broad range of sports and recreational facilities for the convenience and entertainment of students. The Indoor Sports Complex has badminton, squash, basketball, and table tennis courts. Students have free Wi-Fi access from every corner of the campus. Besides, it has collaborations with several academic and non-academic institutions organizing study exchange programs. It provides students with opportunities to study abroad at international institutions.
The Student Affairs Officers will assist students in making arrangements for accommodation, transportation and even organize extracurricular activities for them. The University also has a team of professionally trained Student Counsellors who are willing to assist students in coping with any personal issues.
