The university's strong focus on research and innovation makes it an attractive option for students interested in pursuing advanced studies and research opportunities.

Language Requirements

For programs taught in English, international students typically need to demonstrate proficiency in English through standardized tests like TOEFL or IELTS. If additional language support is needed, the university may offer English preparatory programs to help students meet the required proficiency levels.

Application Process

The application process for international students generally includes submitting an online application, academic transcripts, proof of language proficiency, letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose. Specific requirements may vary by program.

Tuition and Fees

While tuition fees vary depending on the program and level of study, İşık University's fees are generally competitive compared to other private universities in Europe. International students often pay the same tuition rates as local students, but additional fees or different rates can apply, so it’s important to confirm this with the university's admissions office.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

İşık University may offer scholarships and financial aid opportunities to qualified international students. These can range from partial to full tuition waivers, based on academic merit or financial need. Students are encouraged to inquire directly with the university or check the university website for detailed information on available scholarships.

Student Life and Support Services

The university provides support services to help international students adjust to life in Turkey. This includes orientation programs, cultural integration activities, counseling services, and assistance with accommodation. İşık University's campuses in Şile and Maslak offer a vibrant campus life with numerous clubs, societies, and sports facilities.

Location and Living in Istanbul

Studying in Istanbul offers a unique blend of Eastern and Western cultures. The city is rich in history and culture, providing an enriching environment for students. Living expenses in Istanbul can vary, but the city generally offers a lower cost of living compared to many Western European cities.
