The Community Based Medical College Bangladesh (CBMCB) is an academic undertaking of the Community Health Foundation (CHFB). In 1994, thirty prominent humanitarian persons of different professions and positions under the leadership of late professor Dr. AIM Mafakhkharul Islam founded the Community Health Foundation Bangladesh at Mymensingh. The Community Based Medical College Bangladesh was then founded in 1995. The college is duly approved by the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council, and since its inception, it is affiliated with the University of Dhaka. The Community Based Medical College and Hospital provide high-quality medical education to students with the understanding to tackle both local and global health challenges.
The Community Based Medical College Bangladesh (CBMCB) is an eminent institute of undergraduate medical education in Bangladesh. CBMCB is ranked in the leading three Medical schools in Bangladesh. Being affiliated with Dhaka University, the administration appoints the best faculties from across the world, and most of them are industry experts who provide more practical exposure to the students in the domain of medicine. Guest lectures by renowned faculties are also arranged. The training of doctors in CBMCB is recognized by the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). The Community Based Medical College Bangladesh (CBMCB) offers an MBBS course program (5 yrs) and a BDS course program (5 yrs). The college is renowned for its MBBS program. The duration of the Full-time MBBS course is (5 + 1 years), five years of academic study, and a mandatory Internship for one year. (The Internship is optional for international students, they can opt for an Internship in their home country). The medium of instruction for the course is English.
The Community Based Medical College Bangladesh is located at Winnerpar, adjacent to Dhaka-Mymensingh highway Road, around 10 km ahead of Mymensingh town. The entire campus is built over 22 acres of land. The academic and administrative facilities are hosted in a four-storied building within the college campus with beyond 1,00,000 sq. ft. floor space. The college library is equipped with all recommended textbooks, reference books, and international journals. The students are allowed to use Library facilities as per Library rules. It has a 650-bed hospital with outstanding outdoor & indoor facilities and always busy with patients. Almost all health care facilities are available in this hospital. Moreover, the Community Based Medical College provides great internship opportunities to the students of Community Based Medical College. Many of the teachers are engaged in research work in the CBMC hospital as well. The academic faculty includes senior and renowned members. Besides, the college provides very comfortable hostel facilities for both non-local and international students. A three-storied boys hotel is there with over 400 beds and a girls hostel which has 350 beds. Separate common room facilities for male and female students are available.

A Student Welfare committee having teachers as its advisers supervise extra co-curricular activities such as cultural functions, annual functions, drama, indoor games, & sports, and many others.
