Parkview Medical College (PMC) is a private Medical College in Bangladesh. The College is situated in Taltola, Sylhet. As an attempt to train and prepare expert healthcare manpower to provide high-quality health care education at a reasonable cost, some noble dreamers collaborated as a group in 2008 to establish a new Medical College & Hospital, under the banner of Parkview Health Care Pvt. Ltd. & Associates of Parkview Health Care Pvt. Ltd. As a result, the Parkview Medical College came into functionality with its first batch of students for the MBBS course. The Parkview Medical College offers an MBBS program that has a course duration of five plus one years. Five years of academic study and one year of clinical internship in Parkview Medical College & Hospital as required by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC). Successful completion of the course will let you gain the MBBS degree of the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). Every year, the academic session for 1st year of the MBBS course shall start from January or as suggested by Government. During the five academic years of the MBBS course, the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) will conduct four Professional exams of the students. It will be conducted in the first week of May and November every year or as determined by the University. The course and curriculum are those developed and passed by BMDC and affiliated with SUST. The medium of instruction for this course is the English language.
The Parkview Medical College has a modern and well-maintained campus with well-equipped infrastructural facilities. The Library of PMC is well situated on the 4th floor of the college building. There is a well-ventilated and spacious hall embracing a well-furnished and comfortable seating arrangement and peaceful ambiance. Well-equipped laboratories are there in Anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry departments which are satisfactory to meet the demand of practical classes of MBBS course curriculum. Furthermore, a sixty-seated air-conditioned conference hall is there, on the first floor for meeting/seminar/symposium/journal club, etc. There is a prayer room for the students, teachers, and others employees on the college campus, situated on the 5th floor. Notably, the Parkview Medical College & Hospital is offering 24*7 emergency medical services with the help of its doctors and specialists. There is a service for outdoor patients with the help of concerned consultants. Also, besides the college building, fully-furnished hostels are there for both male and female students separately.
The Parkview Medical College offers safe and well-developed hostel rooms, separate for boys and girls. Rooms are allotted on a sharing basis. There is 24*7 CCTV surveillance at the hostels to ensure the safety of the students. Internet connectivity is available in the hostel. Also, a 24-hour mess facility is available in the hostels. In case of any issues, the students can state their problems/inconveniences to their teacher guide. The guides will solve the problems of the students themselves. For physical activities, a sports room is there on the 5th floor. Students can play indoor sports there. The teachers also assist the students and even participate with the students in different extra-curricular activities.
